Logo is a symbol, graphic design, stylized name or slogan or emblem created to distinguish you from other competitors or create unique image in the market. It may be of an abstract or figurative design or include the text of the name it represents as in a word mark. Logos are intellectual property protected under trademark law. Logos have been in existence for thousands of years. The earliest logos were nothing more than simple distinctive markings, symbols, or literal brands that were created to signify the maker of a product or communicate the type of products that a particular merchant was selling. The modern logo began its evolution after introduction of Trademark Law in India. In general, logo’s have seven types i.e. Monogram/Lettermark, Wordmark, Pictorial mark, Abstract mark, Mascots, Combined mark and Emblem.
